My (F22) boyfriend (M22) always plays video games instead of coming to bed with me. What can I do to find a happy medium with him?

TL;DR! 5 month relationship. I go to bed alone at my boyfriends place and feel lonely, so I started just going home.

Video games are a form of self care for him and I get that! But we don’t live together and I feel weird going to bed alone at his place when I could just go to bed alone at my own and at least have the company of my cats. It makes me feel really lonely and a little upset.

It also makes me feel like he rather play video games than spend time with me. I’ve communicated this with him but I still feel like he doesn’t really get it. I have to look out for myself too, so when this happens I just go home. I don’t want him to stop playing video games, I just want to find a compromise so we can both be happy.
