I (30F) think marrying with my boyfriend(35M) who is West African men. But I worry because we’ve never talk about cultural difference.

Hi. It’s my first post and English isn’t my first language so I am sorry if my English is wrong.

I’m Japanese and my boyfriend is West African muslim. We’ve been dating for a year and half.

Recently he graduated university and looking for a job in Japan. We (at least me) think about marrying if he got a job.

I’m asking because I want to talk and understand about cultural difference but he avoid to talk about that. just said “it doesn’t matter you are non-religious person. Don’t worry too much.”

TL;DR Someone who married with African men or muslim, Is there shocking thing you’ve seen by your husband culture?

EDIT Thank you guys! I didn’t expect getting such a lot reply. I’m reading every your comments. He think to get a job at first and then talk about our future. Anyway I noticed my image of marriage is rough sketch. I will learn about muslim and talk with him to know his view. Thank you so much for your advice!
