My friend is a very charismatic person. He's comfortable jumping into a group of strangers and hanging out all night. He's extroverted. Extremely extroverted.
Meanwhile, I'm very introverted, so his behavior is always so strange to me. He playfully flirts with everyone in the friend group, but actively avoids doing the same with me. He seems repulsed by the thought, actually. I'm the only girl in the friend group, so I wonder if he just doesn't like girls.
We've been friends for a year, and I can never tell exactly how he feels about me or where we stand as friends. He never reaches out to me, and we almost never talk one-on-one together. Which, admittedly, I never reach out either, but it's mostly because I'm not sure how close we are and I don't want to bother someone.
On the very rare occasions when we have been alone together, he gets really quiet and it feels uncomfortable so we end up leaving quickly.
Also, his energy is entirely different with me. I've seen him interact with the group when I'm not around and he's always excited and laughing, but his demeanor completely changes when I come around. Almost as if I suck the energy out of him and it makes me feel bad, so I've stopped coming around as much.
Am I crazy for thinking he dislikes me? I've talked to other friends in the group and they think I am.
TLDR; friend is vibrant and fun with all of our friends except for me.
