Friend (20F) thinks she is superior to me (20F) because of her career choice. How to ask her to change her behavior?
My friend and I are both pursuing professional school in the same field. We are currently both in undergrad. I have a higher GPA than her but less experience, while she has a much lower GPA but much more experience in the area. She always talks about how schools shouldn’t be admitting people like me because we lack experience BUT mainly because GPA “doesn’t mean anything”. She also goes on about how her intended area of specialization in the field will be so backbreaking and intense (both hours and physical labor wise) compared to my intended specialization and that all of the graduates in my intended specialization are “fancy”, “uptight”, and “think they’re better than everyone”. I do not ever fault her for her GPA and I agree that experience should matter more. But she makes me feel like having a good GPA is not an accomplishment and that she works so much harder than me. She says that her GPA is low because she just has a high IQ and doesn’t process things the same way. How do I confront her about this and ask her to change her behavior?
tl;dr friend is being rude and acting superior to me because of her career choice and I want to know how to ask her to stop
