My [M21] girlfriend of 2 years just told me today that she's considering breaking up with me because we're too busy to hang out as often as we'd both like
We're both in college and very busy between college work and work work. This didn't seem to be an issue for either of us until now, we usually had at least a day on the weekend where we would hang out or do something, and if not, we'd find a day during the week. I would often include her in things I was doing with my friends too, so we could spend more time together.
Anyway, today she's just announced that it's not enough, she wants more and she wants just more of me, alone. She said she feels that every time we meet up, 1 on 1, it's like meeting a stranger, and that's no way to have a relationship. I'm absolutely heartbroken, so is she. She's said best case scenario we can fix it, but neither she nor I know how. We're going to meet up on Monday or Tuesday to try and talk, but we really don't have high hopes. She's said her realistic expectation is that we will end it, but I don't think either of us want that if it can be avoided in any way.
Reddit, I love this woman and I'd do anything to stay with her. I understand that if she feels it's not working, something has to change. My mind is mush at the moment, what can I do, or suggest, that could potentially help us here?
TL;DR: girlfriend feels neither of us are available enough and thinks we should end it, and even though we both want to fix it, we just don't know how.
