I don‘t know who of you guys knows the movie the great gatsby. It‘s a leonardo di caprio movie, and one of my favorite movies in general. What i realized after seeing it again is that the movie shoes the common topic : „As a man you have to hold your frame all the time“ really good.
Summary : Gatsby and Daisy were lovers 5 years ago. They fucked hard and enjoyed life until some day gatsby had to go to the army and apparently left daisy. She was crying over him a long time. She found a new man which was a pro golfer with lots of money, good looks and cheated on her regulary. (Classic Man/Alpha) Some day gatsby came back into daisys life, he then had lots of money too and was overall more of the cool, quiet and wise type of guy. Daisy first was excited about him, they fucked and gatsby wanted her to leave her husband. He wanted her to tell him that she never really loved him. He was „needy“. And some day he completely lost frame, when he and the pro golfer talked to each other about daisy he lost his coolness and became aggressive. He lost his frame. He showed weakness in daisy. The alpha golfer then said they both can go wherever they want. Meanwhile daisy cried bc of gatsbys lost of controll (frame). She later decides to stay with the golfer. (alpha who sticked to his frame)
What happens after it is a hard spoiler, it really breaks my heart everytime i see the movie. Until that point it‘s already clear what I want to say. With the end of the movie it became even more clear. (Everyone should see the movie btw) Women will take the man who holds his frame over the man who loses it, even when she has good memorys of him. She tried to make the golfer alpha guy a beta and it didnt work. It worked with gatsby and she didnt wanted him anymore. It‘s my first post, sorry for bad english but i had to let these pieces of my mind out here.
