I have tried posting this already. I’m a 40year old male, and I have been married to my wife for 8 years. I have a stepdaughter who is 17 and usually a good kid for the most part and I’ve been close as a dad to her. So here is what happened recently. My wife has DPs of me on her phone, just between us. Nothing nude but me in underwear shirtless, etc. my stepdaughter Ash found them on my wife’s phone and sent them to her own phone, then group texted them to a bunch of her girlfriends. This went around for a few weeks until one of the moms found them and this whole thing blew up. Obviously my wife is furious with her. She came to me and apologized crying, and I explained the photos were personal and she had betrayed our trust. My wife took her car away, grounded her etc. one of the issues also is the commentary in the texts I won’t go into detail and I know they are young and curious. The small bit I read they obviously talked about sexual things regarding me, including Ash who talked about things she wanted to “do” with me. It is an awkward situation and she is completely embarrassed that I know this. We decided we would talk to her together (my wife and I) that this is not appropriate but I feel embarrassed for her in a way. I honestly think her mother and her should talk about it without me. Need advice!
