tldr - boyfriend wont go to restaurants because he hates spending the money, I miss the ambience.
So I have an issue, well im not sure its an issue, but it kind of bugs me. I just want some outside feedback.
My boyfriend is a hobby cook, an amazing cook, but he absolutely refuses to buy food that he can make himself, if he eats out, its basically only fried or smoked, because those are the things he wont do in the kitchen. My guy can even make croissants, and he only got into baking a few months ago and hes pumping out croissants every Sunday. He doesnt stop me from buying food, he doesnt care what I do with my money, but if we go out, and I buy a croissant, he wont eat, or he will just get an apple or something.
It does bother me to a degree, because we have not eaten out in so long! I miss going out to restaurants, getting dressed up and enjoying each others company, but he wont do it, he hates spending the money because he can do it himself. Even if its an obscure cuisine he will go balls deep into sourcing the ingredients to the point where theres a whole new ass language in the pantry.
I would LOVE to go to a restaurant, but he just wont spend the money. Is this my issue?
