Last night my boyfriend (28m) came over to my (26f) place to spend the night. We were watching a show on Netflix and he pointed out a girl from a series and said she was pretty, i usually don’t get bothered with these questions but yesterday I really did. Only because last week for Valentine’s Day, I literally bought a whole new outfit for him and not once did he compliment me, so I guess I was a little but hurt and him saying this somehow really affected me last night. Idk I was being too sensitive, but to be fair, my bf never ever compliments me. I think like only once but that was last year, and I feel weird bringing that up to him because I don’t want to sound like a narcissistic person. Anyways I got so bothered that I turned around and fell asleep. I woke up feeling bad and mad at myself for being too sensitive. How can I be less sensitive?
TL;DR: I’m too sensitive and I think it’s affecting my relationship
