I work from 12-9pm. I try to text him on my breaks or call if he picks up. He does work but he gets off by the time it’s my lunch break. I have him slack, just got home. Whatever take your time, that’s you tule I get it. When I get home around 9:15 I call him! He says nothing, then a few minutes later he says he’s going to play said game then hangs up.
Today I said “I just want to have a conversation how you used to without you prioritizing a game.” He responds 15 minutes later with, “later ok” ... just proved my point. I feel like I’m being taken for granted at this point, like he’s gotten too comfortable. I obviously don’t want him to be nervous about messing up, just want him to be more aware.
Im hurt/disappointed but not surprised. I’m constantly fighting for his attention but games usually win it all. I don’t want to walk away from the relationship but it’s constant hurt after hurt and me putting my standards lower so I don’t get upset.
How do I win his attention? Do I even bother winning his attention? I know he wouldn’t even text me majority of the night because it always happens.
TL;DR- I have to win his attention or he won’t talk to me majority of the night. How do I solve this problem with communication?
