TL;DR: My [28F] best friend [30F] has been working from my house since the pandemic started last March. Its been over a year and I would really like to have my privacy back. How do I ask her to work somewhere else?
March last year both my office and my best friends office switched to work from home to accommodate the pandemic. I recently learned that my position is permanently work from home. Hers is still up in the air but they will likely do the same. Since she doesn't have internet at her apartment she's been working at my place. She has her own apartment and we don't have any type of rental agreement. Its just an informal agreement. Its been nice to have company during the pandemic but my boyfriend [M28] and I have been doing this for over a year and we would really like our privacy back. My best friend gets sensitive about rejection especially since she's went through a break up recently and is not having a good time dating. I would like to ask her to transition to another location like her mom's house but I need help wording it in such a way that she doesn't feel like I am upset with her. I struggle with people pleasing but I really miss having the house to myself. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
