Insurance policy beneficiaries .
So, my grandfather recently passed away about a month ago. He did not have a will & only He had a 200k life insurance policy. He which he divided up equally 4 ways 1)my mother(his daughter):25% 2)my aunt(his daughter): 25% 3)my uncle(his first son): 25% 4)myself(his granddaughter):25%
After funeral costs we will each be receiving a check with each name on it of ~47k each. Now with my family I am one of the youngest(age 27) and the only child to my mother so her & my aunt are demanding that when I get my check I will only get 10k and my aunts daughter will only get 10k. The reminder of my check they demand goes to them plus their brother to split equally. It’s really hurtful because my grandfather also had a 55k investment which after they get everything straightened out with that, they should get an additional 11k(he had 5 children total). I don’t want to ruin my relationship with my family
Is there anything that I can do in this situation? I don’t want to have anything happen with the relationship with my mom & family
TL;DR:family is trying to force me to give them my rightful portion as a beneficiary
