Friends [16 17 m] are telling other people I’m “gay” because I [17m] brushed my sister’s [17f] hair. What to do?

My friends (6 guys) are telling people around school that I’m gay because one of them saw me brushing and combing my sister’s hair. She asked me to help redo her pigtails so I briefly brushed her and then redid them. Whole thing lasted like 1 or 2 minutes.

One of my friends was right there when I did it and didn’t say anything initially, but when we were around the rest of the group he started saying how my sister “wips me” into doing her hair every morning and how I did her pigtails earlier.

They started telling EVERYONE about it and the guys gave me weird looks every time. Even some girls were like “dude, are you gay?! WTF”. I asked one of these girls how was it weird to my sister’s hair and she said “I don’t know man it just is”.

So, that was a failure and now I’m gonna apparently be “the guy that does his sister’s hair” because I did it literally once in school.

It’s only been a day and I’m already tired of this. What do I do to make this die as fast as possible?

tl;dr: Friends and other people are telling me I’m gay because I did my sister’s pigtails. How to make this disappear as fast as possible?
