I [25M] want to break up with my girlfriend [23F] over our poor sex life. But I don't want her to feel as though I only want her for sex. How can I word the break up to communicate that?

I've been with my current girlfriend for about two years now, and she is an amazing person. She's funny, fun to be around, and interesting. However, our sex life is almost nonexistent. We are rarely intimate, and she has confided in me before that even when we do have sex its mostly just 'for me' and while she enjoys it, she isn't interested in initiating. We've spoken about how this makes me feel a few times before, but she isn't able to change. For this reason I would like to break up with her.

However the problem comes from WHY she doesn't want to have sex. She was abused when she was younger, and that (obviously and understandably) has tainted the act for her. I completely understand her reasons for not wanting to engage in the act often, however, understanding the reasons for her attitude does not make it any less frustrating for me to be in a relationship where intimacy is so sparse.

How can I word my break up so that I'm being honest with my reason for breaking up, but still conveying to her how important she is to me, and how much I respect and support her?

tl;dr: A traumatic experience in my GF's past has put her off sex. I want to break up because I'm feeling unsatisfied with the intimacy in our relationship, but I also want her to know how amazing and important she is to me.
