I [M21] tested positive for COVID yesterday but my wife [F21] did not. We believe she most likely has it but are quarantining seperatly anyway. Due to her really bad anxiety and other issues she wants to be quarantined together, but my parents don't think its a good idea (in their house).
I was diagnosed yesterday with pretty much cold like symptoms and my wife came back clean. However, there is almost no chance she doesn't have it by now (we live and do pretty much everything together) but since we are at my parent's place I have been quarantined in another room for now. She is having pretty much the exact same symptoms I have but since she came back clean my parents arent allowing us to be together. I can handle it, but my wife is already breaking due to her having major mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ptsd, borderline personality disorder, and others. I pretty much am one of the only things that can help her calm down and not go into a deep depression. She wants me to quarantine with her so doesn't go down this hole again (she has been hospitalized for this type of thing before) and while I definitely think she already has it (doctor said that you only test positive x days after being exposed) Idk what to do. She is already experiencing some separation anxiety.
Tl;dr - my wife has really bad anxiety and other stuff and most likely has covid because I have it. She wants to be quarantined whether but my parents don't like the idea.
