I (24f) approached my bf (28m) in a VERY calm way asking him to remove the women from the past that he met on Tinder etc. from him SnapChat. I asked through text and his response was “okay, I understand”. So in my mind, it was solved. But the rest of the day he was in a terrible mood and I knew he was pissed about it.
That night he called me and we talked like usual, and I asked if the text is why he was upset. It blew up and he said he doesn’t feel like going through “all the women” and deleting them and he’d rather just delete the whole thing. He called me insecure, controlling, and it was just generally an awful conversation. I was clearly crying over the phone. We ended up hanging up. He texted me after and said “I logged out of snapchat and Instagram and deleted the apps, hopefully that will suffice, goodnight”, and texted me today saying he wants to keep to himself today because he doesn’t want to stress.
I am so hurt that my adult approach to something that bothers me turned into a huge blow out argument where now he isn’t talking to me. I need help and guidance because I am really distraught over this and don’t know how to approach it if or when we do talk again.
TLDR; boyfriend flipped when I brought up removing old girls off of SnapChat. Now we aren’t speaking. HELP!
