My (20F) boyfriend (20M) was asked by a professor to hang out with a girl (19F) who can’t go home over winter break and I’m jealous.

Personally, I feel like this is irrational jealousy on my end so I’d like to be logically talked out of it, but since she’s a foreign student and my boyfriend lives 40 minutes from campus (which this professor knows), she asked if he’d be willing to take her out a few times so she’s not alone. I’m mostly mad at myself for not completely trusting my boyfriend, because I know how loyal he is and I love him a lot—but maybe it’s the missing out I’m sad or jealous about? I don’t like the idea of them doing “date-like” things like dinner while I’m on the other side of the country. At the same time, I know he’s doing this because he’s a nice person. While I get that my jealousy is dumb.. do you have any advice for feeling better about this? Or how I could bring up my feelings to him in a way that shows him I know he’s trustworthy—I’m still just annoyed the professor asked him to do this?

TL;DR: My boyfriend will have to take a beautiful girl out a few times during winter break so she isn’t alone and I’m jealous.
