My girlfriend is in tears about twice a week about how she has no friends, that she has a litany of non-fatal inconvenient health issues, that she hates the city we live in, along with her job and our apartment too. She often states she envisioned a better life at this age than the one she has right now. She also feels she put in the work and therefore should have a better life.
She sees a therapist but doesn't fully take their advice since she knows they probably live cushy lives themselves with their salary.
I'm a pretty laid back guy who tries to live in the moment and not control the uncontrollable. I never really envisioned my life at 33, just take it a day at a time. I don't feel I've ever really deserved anything.
Anyway, any ideas how can I help my gf?
TLDR: GF (35) cries about her life and I don't know how to help.
