I am 16
years old, currently living with my mom(34), Her boyfriend of 3 years(42+) and my older brothers(19 and 22).To put it simple, we all dislike him. All for our own reasons. He sits there and makes messes which we have to clean up, he doesn't have a job and refuses to get one which forces our mom to work 24/7, drinks 24/7 and they fight constantly.
Multiple times, he's cheated on my mom, caused me panic attacks to the point where I'd rather sleep outside then in the house and they scream at each other 24/7. In the past fights, he's left for a few days then came back, promised "change" and it never happens. He told us our dad was useless as a parent, said "fuck your kids" to our mom, with us in the room, slammed a door on my mom's foot to where she almost broke it and a lot more
On Easter, we was getting ready to go to our grandma's for Easter dinner. We thought our Mom was at the store. She came running inside and told us to get our things, grab our dogs and leave. She said "you guys can't be replaced, the house can." Note that her boyfriend was heard screaming in the bedroom earlier and he has access to two pistols so something was going on.
He causes all of us stress. I'm so stressed out to the point where I can't focus on school. For the past 10 years, I've had amazing grades. I understand the pandemic is causing people stress, especially parents / people with kids to take care of, but this, is way to much for us.
My brothers and I have tried to talk to my mom about it but she keeps on saying,"He's apart of the family,""He won't hurt you guys.""I can have my own life besides you guys.""It's your guy's fault for causing trouble." (we play games, do our chores and both of my brothers are in college / have jobs idk what trouble.)
After the Easter thing happened, My mom kicked him out. She promised us that's it. He won't be coming back. Today, she came in and said he's coming back tonight. We tried to talk about it but she keeps switching it around on us like we did something wrong that day.
What can we do? Are we even in the wrong here?
TLDR; My Mom's boyfriend is causing my siblings stress, has scared us multiple times, and my mom told us basically "fuck you he's coming back." What can we do?
