Hi people of reddit! I need some advice on this situation because i’m unsure of what to do.
Last weekend my boyfriend and his friends went away to my boyfriends family’s vacation house for a “boys trip” there was about 7 of the boys in total. They were there for 3 days and 3 nights. On the first two nights he called me and told me about his day but on the last night I didn’t hear anything from him and he completely ignored me all night until the next morning. I didn’t have any suspicions because I completely trusted him and he had never done anything in the past so I thought he was just spending time with his friends and i didn’t think about it too much.
Fast forward to two nights ago, the night after they got home, I was sleeping over at his place and he told me that he felt really guilty because he “acted like he was single” on the last night and he said that him and his friends found some girls at a restaurant and invited them back to the place. He had told the girls that he is single (we have been together for 2.5 years) and did this because he “wanted attention”. The girls hung out with them for hours until like 4am and they were all drinking and even went into the hot tub at my boyfriends place. He told me that one of the girls tried to kiss him and that’s when he said that he’s in a relationship. All of his friends are single except for one of them who cheats on his girlfriend regularly.
After he told me about this I was quite upset and hurt that he would pretend he was single and every time i bring it up he brings up a time 6 months ago where i was drugged at a club and a guy kissed me (I told my boyfriend about it right away) and he says that I have no right to be mad because I did that and he said that he did this to kind of get back at me? which i thought was weird. He also says that I should be thankful that he was honest with me. Anyways I just don’t know what to do because I can’t stop thinking about it and it makes me really upset that he would act like he’s single just to get attention even though he told me about it and felt guilty I just have a bad feeling about everything that happened and this whole situation has made me look at him differently and I feel annoyed every time we hang out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)
TLDR: my boyfriend went on a trip with his friends and acted like he was single to get attention from girls but didn’t technically cheat.
edit: hes never ever done anything in the past 2.5 years to make me upset, hes always done anything and everything i want and treats me well. this is the first thing that he’s EVER done that has made me feel uneasy. if it was a regular thing i would have broken up with him because of this
edit: I WAS DRUGGED THAT NIGHT BY SOMEONE AKA ROOFIED. just not by the guy i kissed sorry i thought it was clear
