My ex (23F) called me up (25M) and asked if I wanted to have a date but not even a couple hours later I see her going back to hers drunk with another man

The title says it all really a few weeks ago my ex ended our relationship at the time saying that the pandemic and personal problems where to blame.

Yesterday she calls me up and says she’s sorry we broke up and it was mostly due to a friend pressuring her to do so and that she was about to go have drinks with a “gal pal” (not the same one who apparently pressured her) at a bar she used to work at but wanted to know if I wanted to go on a date next week and I said yes.

I happened to be walking down my street about 2 hours later and I see her walking back to hers with some random guy so I speak to her and she’s abit drunk so I ask her if she’s okay I look over to the guy and I don’t know if it was me just being jealous or something but he looked rather sketchy and she’s like yeah I’m okay I just need to get back to mine I’m drunk so I ask if she’s okay with that guy I can always get you back if you want but she says no it’s okay and that she’s knows him and she’s just walking home and walks away.

But it plays on my mind so I call her up about 10 mins later because we live pretty close to make sure she got back okay and she says can we talk later I’m busy at the moment and then hung up on me at first i thought she had done it by mistake as she was mid sentence but I called her again and she had turned of her phone

About an hour later she calls me up and says what’s up she’s slightly more sober and that’s she’s with her parents watching television so I say I’m glad she’s alright I just wanted to make sure she was okay as I didn’t know who the guy was and was concerned.

I told her I just wanted to see if she was alright after seeing her go back to hers drunk with a strange guy (strange in my eyes) and I didn’t know if he was trying to take advantage or a hookup or something like that and she said do you really think I’d do that and that he worked at the bar she used to work at and that he was just making sure she got back safe and that the friend she met up with left her at the bar and that she obviously wouldn’t take some guy back to hers and even if she did she said especially not with her parents home in a joking but serious tone

So I took her at her word obviously believing her I’m glad she was okay and nothing bad happened to her but what’s playing on my mind is that she did say I didn’t do anything but even if I did I’m single so what does it matter but then I said if that’s the case why did she ask me on a date a few hours earlier I just said I’d call her later and we ended the call.

I mean she’s not wrong she’s single she can do whatever she wants and we both know that when she’s drunk she’s not the best so I’m guessing she was trying to make me jealous with that comment but either way I just want some advice should I even consider the date or should I just stop here and just leave it as it is and move on or am I just sounding extremely paranoid.

TL;DR ex gf asks me on a date but POSSIBLY could of been on a date/hookup with someone else not even a couple hours later.
