Basically my parents yell and scream at me over simple things with little impact like leaving the doorstop in the wrong place, using the wrong plate or picking up the phone to colld callers and due to this I see little value in what they say as they scream at me for very minor things. I'm insulted alongside the yelling (such as called an idiot or spaz) so I feel like they just say things to hurt me so I ignore it.
Anyway, they overheard me talking to my brother saying that I should move the doorstop of they'll yell at me, and I was like its ok I don't really value their opinion at me any more, and they overheard this and said they are dissapionted and upset. Again I said ok and nodded along but I don't really care what they think any more, I just nod and go along. This is like having cake every day, eventualyl you eat it but don't really care and it loses all it's value, so after years of being yelled at for small things I just don't care and nod allong not paying attentions. I'm moving out in 2 months so I won't have to do this for long.
TLDR - parents allways yell at me, its now so often I just don't care, am I wrong to not care? I know I should care if I do something super stupid (e.g. break something or make a huge mess) but for general things I dont care.
