I (F25) snooped through my new boyfriend's things (M28) after he asked me to clean his house while he was at work and found disturbing stuff

My boyfriend of two months asked me to clean the house for him after I stayed over. I didn't have to work the next day and he asked if I'd do it while he worked his shift. Said he'd pay me.

He left & I started cleaning.

Did the bathrooms, kitchen, & living room.

Moved on to the bedroom. Made bed, vacuumed, noticed shut closet door.

Was curious and opened. Maybe I wanted to clean/organize it, too.

(He throws all his dirty laundry in there)

Saw books with spines turned around on top shelf. Saw large cardboard box.

Looked inside box. Filled to the brim with disturbing pornography DVDs. Like, scatological and beastiality.

Got down books, most were "Pick-Up Artist" type guides like "The Game," or "How to Talk to Women," or "How to Get a Woman to Do Anything You Want."

Some were titled "Racist Jokes" and a few were stapled computer print-outs of really awful, off-color racist and sexist "humor." Really, really explicit.

Well, serves me right, I suppose.

Now I feel like I know this dark other side to him he hasn't shown me yet.

But maybe these are harmless distractions, or mostly centered around humor... I don't know!

All I know is I snooped and found weird stuff.

He didn't say the closet was off-limits, and he did ask me to clean the whole house, but I could tell these things were personal, otherwise they wouldn't be in a box or turned around up high on a shelf.

Perhaps I got what I deserved for being too "curious."

Anyway, I want to gently ask him about this stuff, but then he'll know I pried.

How can I ask him about this? Or should I just go on and pretend it didn't happen?

TL;DR: discovered sketchy stuff while cleaning boyfriend's house and don't know how to proceed
