My ex-boyfriend (30M) called tonight to say sorry and I don't think he even took the time to think through what he was even sorry about!

The funny thing is that I (29f) personally chose to forgive him about a week ago. It's been a few months since our breakup and he left the relationship at a very shitty time. He said he wanted to call tonight to just say sorry...and that was it. No context though about he was actually sorry ABOUT. And I feel like he just wanted to make himself feel better about the way he broke things off without actually owning up to his actual fuckups. Ironically, I was fine with the thought of him BEFORE the conversation and actually think less of him NOW after he called! What a funny thing!

Wondering if anyone here can relate.

Tl;dr ex boyfriend seemed to have called just for HIS own sake. I guess that's why he's my EX!
