I’ve recently discovered my [24F] partner [28M] of 1.5 years doesn’t use toothpaste. I’m really grossed out but he insists that he doesn’t need it. Am I overreacting?
Using a throwaway. Partner and I have been living together since March. This morning I ran out of toothpaste and asked him where he kept his. He seemed really embarrassed, and admitted he never uses toothpaste because “it scares him”. Apparently he doesn’t like the texture and finds it unsettling. He does brush his teeth (water only) and floss, and is otherwise clean, but I am really grossed out now and honestly don’t know if this might be a dealbreaker. This feels like a Seinfeld B-plot to be honest, and I don’t know if I’m neurotic for reacting so strongly.
TL;DR: Partner doesn’t use toothpaste. Am I crazy for being grossed out?
