Hey reddit, what is the average healthy couples boundaries when it comes to divulging who you talk to on your social media?
Tl;DR what is the average healthy couples boundaries when it comes to divulging who you talk to on your social media? (I need perspective)
Is it healthy and normal to communicate who you talk to on your social media with your partner or is that considered unhealthy? Is it normal and healthy to pick and choose who you tell your significant other about or is that unhealthy?
What about the more extremes like not telling your partner about anyone you talk to on your social media or giving your partner your phone to go through (although I think we can probably all agree thats not healthy or ok lol)?
My (30sf) perspective is that you should tell your significant other who you talk to on your social media. I don't think you need to talk about the conversations (or the details) you have with them but I think if you are with someone they should know who is in your social circle. My partner (30sm) of 10ish years thinks my perspective is unhealthy and thinks that you should be able to pick and choose what information you give to your significant other.
So I'm here for some perspective and I'm curious whats healthy and normal.
Thanks in advance for sharing!
