I (27F) am super annoyed at my bf (27M) for poor farting etiquette

We all fart. It is a normal bodily function. We all learn as we age when, where and how to appropriately fart— we learn farting etiquette. Fartiquette.

Fartiquette is simple and most obvious. Fart in solitude, in an open space far from others or at least in a public crowd like a packed mall strip for blame diversion. Hold it in and fart when it is safe. Or don’t hold it in and fart in-front of those who love you.

My bf, however, doesn’t understand when he has gone too far and pushed pass the limits of fartiquette.

I am typing this today bc I have had enough. He farts whenever I am enjoying a meal. Whether I am eating the fresh and hot dinner on our dining table or enjoying a late bedtime snack in our bed; he chooses to fart whenever I am eating.

His farts have never been silent, nor non lethal. They stink, notoriously, due to his poor diet.

Yet, he still chooses to fart, next to me, in front of me, sometimes even adjusts himself in order to aim toward my way, whenever I am in my happy place, eating and at peace.

The worse part is that no matter how many times I scold him and explain to him (absurd that I even have to) why it’s NOT funny and it is extremely inappropriate — he completely disregards everything I say.

I don’t mind a fart. I don’t even mind a stinky one. But I would really love to enjoy a meal where I do not taste the fart being issued within a couple square feet or less.

The taste of your meal is heavily associated with it’s smell— trust me I am a chef. Probably why it gets me even more f*cking fed up.

Anyway f*ck him, I just can’t someone is this stupid and inconsiderate.

Tl;dr: obnoxious a**hole was not raised right, farts whenever I am enjoying a meal.
