My (24F) boyfriend (34M) got mad that I wouldn’t send a half naked picture to his ex girlfriend (30F)

I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year and one thing that really bothered me was how much he bad mouthed his ex. They dated SIX YEARS AGO and they ended because she cheated on him. He’s still clearly bitter and her 30th birthday is in a few days.

My bf asked me to wear something racy and put on the fake diamond ring he bought me (from his gas station) so he could take a picture and send it to her to make her jealous. I refused immediately because I told him why does he care and why is he wasting his time. She’s moved on and has a boyfriend so nothing would come out of it.

He got defensive and angry..he said “I don’t care I hate her!” And “all you c*nts are the same”. Then when I got angry he got upset that I wasn’t showing him affection or touching him lovingly.

I’m so exhausted I don’t know what to do. Talking to him about it will only cause a fight...How can I approach this situation in a less hostile way?
