Hi,
I am starting to apply new boundaries I read about and learned with my psychologist.
What happened is that 2 days ago I agreed to an appointment with this friend to meet me at X hour on X day. Before that appointment, I had a conversation with him on the fact that I couldn't stand him not being reliable/honest and that with time I would start losing interest into our friendship
Today, he full-blown calls me 3 times and sends me 8 text messages (already 2 hours late) that he would be there in an hour and a half...
I call him back and tell him not to come, that we had agreed to him being there at X hour and that he was not. He started giving me excuses about too much traffic, being farther than his home, that there wasn't an exact time fixed, then proceeds to tell me I'm an ass for not being "flexible"
Is this "friend" what my psychologist describes as being "toxic"..?
TL;DR : Had a discussion with my unreliable/dishonest friend, set-up an appointment, was way late so I turned him down. Agree?
