My (35f) twin brother (35m) has stopped speaking to me since finding out I stayed with my boyfriend (35m) who made out with my brother's girlfriend.
Ugh. Everything sucks right now.
I've been with my boyfriend for 6 years. 3 years ago, we had a big fight. In part, it had to do with the fact he had gone out drinking after work instead of coming home (long story but he promised he would start contacting me if he was staying out....and it was the second time that week he had done this). We lived together, and I was so upset with him (texting) that I said I thought maybe I should move out.
<<<side note>> my boyfriend has completely stopped drinking now and has been sober for nearly 2 years
Anyway, he wasn't drunk but had been drinking. He got very upset about our conversation and he ended up meeting up with my brother's girlfriend. They met up, had a couple of drinks and then he had his uber drop her off at home. Two different versions of what happened followed (and neither is good).
Her story: she claimed my boyfriend was all over her in the back of the uber. Kissing her, grabbing her breasts. She didn't actually tell my brother until he found out a week later that their friend had saw her in the pub. Then this is what she said happened.
My boyfriend's story: he said they made out and it was mutual (kissed).
Neither story is good at all. It happened 3 years ago. I left him. He stopped drinking. In the end, I went back to him after about 6 months. But I did not tell my brother because I knew he'd be upset.
He found out at Christmas and now he has told me he'll never speak to me again unless I leave my boyfriend for good.
Am I wrong here? I don't expect him to like my boyfriend, but I am so confused....am I seriously a terrible person for forgiving my boyfriend?
tldr: boyfriend made out with brother's girlfriend 3 years ago. Boyfriend stopped drinking since then. Brother said he will never speak to me again unless I leave boyfriend for good.
