He is unemployed and has a couple thousand that he’s put into stocks. It’s all from his savings and it’s all he has. I forced him to put £500 from that into his bank account because he needs to pay for stuff at the end of the month and it takes a while for money to go through to his account. Despite constantly being on his phone doing “research” on Reddit about stocks and shares he is always in the red.
We have a joint bank account and if we ever need money put into it we’ll do 50/50 but we’re still always broke. About a week ago he got moody at me for not giving him £250 to put into stocks but I refused because it’s not my job to give him money.
I’ve tried to speak to him about all of this but he doesn’t listen and is adamant on still doing stocks despite never having money in his bank account and always being in the red on whatever he invests in. How do I solve this issue? TIA
TL;DR: My fiancé has too much money in stocks in the red and not enough in his bank account.
EDIT: I also do stocks but I’m actually up 14% and only put in what I’m willing to lose. I also have money in my bank account still.
