F|18 M|18- I made my new boyfriend and his friend dinner and they both laughed at me.

My boyfriend of 1 month came over to my place for the first time. I spent all day cleaning shit I’ve never cleaned in my house before, I lit candles, getting groceries, put makeup on, setup Netflix and started prepping to make him dinner.

He asks me if his friend can grab a plate since they were hanging out prior, I said of course.

They both arrived 30 minutes passed the time they should’ve came over, but once they did I started cooking while they sat at the kitchen table chatting.

I am not an experienced cook at all and my boyfriend knew this, but I thought I’d try it my best and be a good girlfriend. I watched YouTube tutorials on the recipe I picked, I even practiced mincing garlic before they came over so I wouldn’t look like an idiot.

I finished cooking and I already knew it wasn’t going to be amazing. I ended up not making enough so I skipped on eating so both of the boys had enough. It was decent, if you could think of what a C+ tastes like, it tasted like that. But the whole entire time they were eating I heard hushed laughters, they were laughing as they were calling it good, they called me “master chef”. They were complimenting me in the worst and most empty way possible.

While I was doing the dishes they continued to mock me, shortly after they finished and I washed their dishes I basically kicked them out. My boyfriend was suppose to stay the night but I made up a reason he couldn’t stay.

About two hours later he sent me a snap of him and his buddy eating fast food.

I left him on open and haven’t opened any of his other messages, We have only been together for 1 month so I’m not sure if this is worth talking about with him or not. I don’t know if me being upset over this makes me soft but I really feel like this is a red flag and idk how to go about breaking it off with him and what to say, I feel like I’m going to sound super sensitive and the overall situation is just embarrassing.

TL;DR- I made objectively bad food and my boyfriend and his friend made fun of me for it, do I break it off with him? How do I go about it gracefully?
