Friends breaking lockdown rule, am I overreacting by wanting to distance from the friendships? (24f)
My best friends are flaunting lockdown rules. Travelling across the country for both Christmas and new year and having a big family party. Leaving our tier 4 area to travel a two hour round trip JUST to go to a tier 3 gym. One of them has also been having guys round to her flat as well as mixing with her huge family that she doesn’t live with.
I received an NHS advisory that I’ve been in contact with someone who has tested positive and need to isolate.. I was told by my friends to ignore the alert and not isolate. Their argument was ‘as long as I’m being safe and don’t catch it then I’ll continue to do what I want’ this has been going on for a while now.
Am I overreacting by genuinely wanting to distance myself from the friendships or is it not worth the loss of friendships? I feel so strongly that these people are selfish and idiotic regarding their actions and it’s showing a different side to people I didn’t think I would.
TL;DR: My friends are massively breaking lockdown rules, want to know if I’m overreacting by wanting to distance from the relationships and find new friends
