Me (29F) and my boyfriend (26M) spent the last few hours with a group of friends - there was also a girl there and he kept asking her questions and I felt completely ignored.
I didn’t want it to turn into a fight so I just left and said I wanna chill on my own for tonight and his reply was
“Well sorry if I did anything wrong, think it may be for the best to chill, enjoy it”
I know if I bring it up he’ll start yelling and saying I’m jealous and insecure. But I still think what he did wasn’t nice and he doesn’t even realize it.
Am I in the wrong here? I tend to get jealous so I’d rather ask for an opinion beforehand but this entire night made me feel so shitty :(
Is it on me to involve myself in the conversation? Me and the other girl are both quiet, it’s not like she’s extroverted and talkative and he asked personal questions so I couldn’t really just start talking about myself :/
Only after I made a semi flirty comment at a male friend and he responded with a sexual innuendo, my bf stepped in, that’s the only attention I got.
Is this a case of overthinking? :/
TL;DR: boyfriend ignored me in a group setting while talking to another girl, is this normal?
