My (27F) boyfriend (27M) thinks we shouldn’t have kids because I think our kids should all have middle names.

This is so stupid. My boyfriend and I were talking about future baby names and he said he doesn’t want to give all our kids middle names. I think that’s weird and it’ll make our kids feel unfairly singled out to be the only American kid without a middle name. He thinks it won’t be a big deal since he doesn’t use his middle name and I need to trust him on this. I think it’s too strange, but it’s now his hill to die on.

We had a fight over it and are now spending some time apart. Am I wrong to be so weirded out? He would think it’s dumb for me to even be on Reddit talking about this. I kinda think the same, but I don’t know what to do.

Now, he thinks we shouldn’t have kids because I can’t trust his judgment on this. This feels so dumb.
