So.. I am back on this thread yet again unfortunately. My husband got me the physical copy of the animal crossing game for my birthday. I however do not have a switch. He however does.
The thing with animal crossing is that once you play on one switch, you cannot transfer your island over to another switch and can only have one house per console. I would like my own house so I can decorate it however I want and he can decorate his & also we can play together without having to share a screen. I feel like it would make it more interesting.
Yesterday he comes to me and asks me for the 50th time if he can just take my unopened game he got me for my birthday and I tell him no I want to keep it for when I get my own switch (which should be soon). He asks over and over and over again until I literally go mad. He brings up “so what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is yours??? You’re acting like a kid!” & I reply that he got it for me for my birthday and if I don’t want to open it and have someone else play my game than that’s my choice. This game is special to me and he can just buy his own copy.
That was yesterday. Today he is being rude as all hell and he thinks I’m the child. Why can’t I just have this one thing to myself? I literally am beginning not to care and it’s ruining this game for me.
Now like every other time he can’t see any else’s side but his own, the only way I can fix this is to go say sorry and probably give him the game. I’m done.
TL;DR :husband guilt tripping me into giving him the gift he got me for my birthday
