Girlfriend extremely emotional on period

I am 26, she is 25. Been together for 4 months, but known each other as close friends for almost a year. Recently moved in together. She is usually extremely affectionate and considerate, but recently she has become emotionally unstable on her periods. She will just give me complete silent treatment. She will randomly walk out of the apartment without a word, and I have no fucking clue where she went. Doesn't respond to texts. Snaps at me for anything at all. Any advice is appreciated. Makes me feel extremely worried and depressed when she just ups and leaves like this.
