TL;DR! - My boyfriend posted a sex tape to Reddit that’s not me, am I overreacting?
My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over six months. Things have been really good lately. However, he spends a lot of time on this app and out of curiosity I made the mistake of looking up his Reddit username a few days ago. Well, much to my surprise I found a sex tape he posted on here last month.
The sex tape is not me, and is labeled “my fuck buddy”. I confronted him on it almost immediately. He swears the video was filmed prior to us dating/being exclusive, he got the other woman’s consent to post it, and she was into that type of thing too. He’s claiming it’s a kink and took the post down (…although recently discovered not from the porn site he uploaded it to).
I don’t know how to react. I feel betrayed and blindsided by this. I’m pretty open minded but this is not something I’m into or would want to participate in. I really like him but I’m not sure I can move past this or get the image of him having sex with someone else out of my head. I’m also not trying to kink shame, but am alarmed how overall unapologetic he seems about posting the video while we are dating.
Am I overreacting?
