Long story short: I’m jealous of my husband because I want to stay home with my kids, but I work. My husband gets to stay home with our sons.
It sort of happened by convenience, just after I gave birth to our first son, he got laid off. Then I didn’t want to hurt his feeling by asking him to go back to work so I could stay home.
And now 4 years later I go to work and he takes care of the kids. Idk why women think this is good. I literally hate my life. All I ever wanted was to stay home, my husband is a petroleum engineer, so no, I don’t make more.
I never brought it up because he seems happy with how things are. And I know when men aren’t the provider things can get weird. I don’t want to upset him. But I am going to talk to him about it. Cause I just want what he has. He could earn almost double what I do in his field. So why is he staying home. He doesn’t even know how to cook, and I love to cook. My life just doesn’t make sense. So I’m here to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet how I should approach the situation
TL;DR! My husband stays home with the kids, while I go to work, and I hate feeling like the man in our relationship. I keep making posts on subs searching for the right comment to tell me how to bring this up without hurting his feelings. Or coming off quite so sexist.
