I [25M] am heading to New York for the weekend with two new friends, and was thinking about bringing my DSLR. One of my friends [24F] is an Instagram model, and wants me take a bunch of photos of her while we're there, and It's making me rethink bringing the camera.

First time posting here, so hopefully I've got the formatting right!

I've planned a weekend in New York City with a couple new friends of mine (25M and 24F). Recently, one of my friends has been insisting I bring my new DSLR, since she wants me to take pictures of her for her Instagram. While she's not Instagram famous, I've heard from mutual friends that she's done this in the past, as well.

Those of you into photography hopefully understand the extra hassle that comes along with bringing a camera setup on a trip. It's another bag, another few lenses, and it can all be a little cumbersome. While I was considering taking some cool pics of New York City, her wanting me to be her "personal photographer" for the weekend has soured the mood a little, and feels a little selfish on her part.

I know this is far from the biggest problem on this sub, and super trivial in the grand scheme of things- but I'd love a little insight from an unbiased third party on this one.

Should I bring the camera?

tl;dr I want to bring my DSLR on a trip to new york, but my Instagram model friend wants me to take a bunch of pictures of her while we're there. Do I bring the camera?
