My husband and I have a happy marriage (dating three years, married one year) that appears normal to all but a few people who know that he's a dom and I'm his sub. For example, we had a normal wedding, then that night he collared me and I got a small brand of my husband's monogram in a place only my husband has seen. I wear my collar around the house when we're alone but can't wear it outside because of my profession.
Fridays are usually date night and an extra intense session because we'll have the weekend to recover and just lay around if need be. A little while ago, during one of these I got a black eye in addition to some finger bruising on my arm and thighs. The black eye was an accident (and kinda my fault for being in the wrong position at the wrong time). It wasn't too bad, and like I expected it faded enough to cover with makeup by Monday.
I was sitting on the couch on Saturday and my mom facetimed me. I did what I always did. I took off my collar, put it under the couch pillow and answered on the ipad. I forgot out the black eye and bruises. The look on her face was terrible. She asked me what had he done. I saw my video and realized. I told her I fell and tried to cover my legs before she could see the other bruises. Obviously, she didn't believe me. We went back and forth for a while, but she wouldn't let it go. Finally she had something to go to so she hung up. It comes up every time we talk now. My aunt who I almost never talk to called me and asked how things were going.
So I have two options here. Either explain that my husband gave me a black eye during rough sex, or try to convince her that I really fell and got a black eye which probably won't happen. I'm unsure if she saw the other bruises. Is there a third way so I don't have to have an awkward conversation about my sex life with my mother?
TL;DR: My husband accidentally gave me a black eye during sex, my mother saw it and thinks he's abusing me, I don't want to tell her about our sex life.
