My partner is super awesome in every which way. HOWEVER SHE SNORES LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN. When we first started seeing each other about 2 years ago, she wouldn’t snore too loud. However, it’s gotten to the point where I will have my earbuds in with white noise turned all the way up and i can still hear her.
She’s had her face punched a few times (past life) and I’m fairly sure it’s a problem with her nose. She’s not overweight, she doesn’t stop breathing or gasp for air. She is refreshed when she wakes up. The freaky part is her mouth can be fully closed and she still snores.
We’ve tried everything. Mouth guards, pillows, different sleeping positions. Still snoring.
She’s going to do a sleep study to see if she has sleep apnea. She feels really bad for snoring and I can’t be mad at something she can’t control. However, there are times where I just want to book a hotel for a couple days so I can sleep.
I’m a light sleeper, and I like having a fan on or some type of white noise. She doesn’t care because she will fall asleep in 2 minutes. I honestly look forward to her waking up early to go to work so I can finally sleep. I get my best sleep when she isn’t there.
I don’t want this thing to end our relationship, but I don’t know if I can wear headphones the rest of my life. And I have heard that cpap machines can be loud, where a fan won’t mask the noise.
We currently live in a 1 bedroom. Once we live in a bigger place, I’ll be able to change rooms, but it’s not possible at the moment.
If anyone has any tips that would be awesome!
TL:DR- Girlfriend snores all night and I’m at a loss of what to do
