We're "digital nomads" been living in a really boring, small place for just over a month now.
It used to be his parents place. They wanted to leave early so said we could take over their lease, it's $100 a month.
There's mould everywhere, no comfortable place to sit. No young people in the town.
I come from a big city and love going out so it's started to take it's toll on my mental health.
When talking about it, my boyfriend says. "Well staying here is financially advantageous for me. If you want to leave, why don't you pay more towards the rent?"
I asked him if he's struggling financially and he said no.
I got upset. I feel this suggestion is unkind, unfair. Taking advantage of me. What do you think?
Tl;dr: I hate the cheap place me and my boyfriend are living. He says if I want to move I should pay more towards the rent. Is this reasonable?
