Cigarettes and bed sheets: I [40f] found unknown/new brand of cigarettes at my boyfriend’s [46m] and on that same day he asked me to change the bedding

My boyfriend and I live 1 1/2 hours away. When I arrived at his house one weekend (he was at work), I found a different brand of cigarettes in the ashtray, both in the bedroom and in the living room, along with his usual brand. (Yes, it’s disgusting to smoke in the house, especially since I do not smoke, but anyway). On that same day, he called from work asking me to change the bedding.

In the 3 years we’ve been dating I’ve never once seen him smoking a different brand, and he has never once asked me to change the bedding.

I asked him about the cigarettes, if he has changed brands, and he said no, oblivious to why I was asking. He I told him I found a different brand in the ashtray, he said, “Oh, oh, yeah, I bought them because they were on sale.”

So, cigarettes and bed sheets: reason to be suspicious?

tl;dr found different brand of cigs at boyfriend’s and on the same day he asked me to change the bedding. 2 things that have never happened before. Cheating or odd coincidence?
