I've been dating my GF for almost a year. For as long as I remember I've never really been much of a social media kind of person. I normally only post stuff relating to my hobby on Instagram, but since we started dating I have also posted two photos with my GF. She has also met all my close friends and my immediate family, so it's not like I'm hiding our relationship.
She on the other hand is a lot bigger of a fan of posting our relationship on her social media. Recently she saw a post of a guy friend and his GF, and him gushing about how much he loves her on Instagram. She showed it to me and asked me why I never post anything like that on my Instagram. This eventually devolved into kind of an argument, with her saying that she'd like me to be able to express my love for her to other people, and not only behind closed doors. I didn't really budge, and the disagreement kind of left off there.
What do you guys think? Is this something reasonable for her to be upset about?
TL;DR - GF is upset that I don't post loving pictures of her on social media
