F (31) loaned LTR of 8 months M(45) money for car and have not received any payments. How to get a binding agreement in writing?

I stupidly purchased wheels for my man but never got the car in my name and don’t have any paperwork to show that he will pay me back ‘x amount’ per month or by a certain date.. I know this was extremely ignorant of me.. At the time He made me feel I was his one and only and that we would be married. Now when I bring up hints about a car payment he gets furious and threatens to leave. Saying I’ll get the money but only when he’s fully on his feet after all this Covid bs.. how can I get something in writing to insure I do recover this money? Very stupid of me I know, thanks for any advice.
