My (22F) friend just ended things with her (34M) boyfriend because she learned that he has two children from a family friend

My friend (Jess) has been officially together with her boyfriend (David) for about 6 months and she learned recently that he has two children from two different women from two different states. Additionally, David is not active in the kids lives and one mother had to take him to court just so that he can pay child support. Plus, the two mothers are also around the age 22. It turned out that David had lied about his age too, saying that he was 32 but in actuality he is 34.

Jess wanted to confirm that David actually has two kids so she asked her mom to speak with David. David confirmed it reluctantly and Jess’s mom told David not to contact her daughter again. Since the call, Jess and David have not spoken but all of sudden Jess is saying that she wants closure. And that him having two kids is not too big of a deal and she might consider working on the relationship.

I don’t think that she should even consider going back to him, as he has lied about many things. What are your thoughts?

Tl;dr: friend just got out of relationship due to finding out her ex has two kids and friend wants closure and to possibly rekindle the relationship
