Girlfriend (26F) has stopped taking care of her facial hair. How do I (27M) approach her about it without sounding like a jerk?
So let me say my girlfriend is absolutely beautiful and means everything to me. We've been together for years and plan to get married.
That being said, over the course of the last year or so she's been developing chin and mustache hairs. She's always had some peach fuzz that wasn't really noticeable that she would wax or shave or whatever people do to take care of it. However lately, she's had darker, longer hair growing from her chin and parts of her upper lip. She was self conscious about it at first (and I know she still is) but she would take care of them pretty quickly. The last few months though she's been neglecting them and sometimes it gets too much for me. I find it unattractive when it gets very noticeable like this but I don't want to hurt her feelings or start a fight. I also find it a bit hypocritical as she hates facial hair on men so I typically have a clean shaven look, mostly for her. Is there any other women who deal with this? Why is she suddenly neglecting it and What's the best way to approach this?
TL;DR Girlfriend has stopped taking care of some noticeable facial hair and I don't know how to approach her about grooming it regularly.
