My 18 year old (twin) sister is in an abusive relationship with a woman 10 years older than her. My family doesn’t know what to do anymore.

They met at a party. My sister was 17 and (let’s call her “N”) was 27. N was unemployed and needed a place to stay. My mom let her live in our guest room. She said she would pay rent, since she ate here for free, used water and power. After a few weeks she got a job. Oh well, we never saw a dime. Anyway, it’s not like we desperately needed her money.

My mom is on her sixties, so discovering that her daughter was dating a woman was a shock to her. She was upset a first, but later she accepted my sister’s sexuality. What upsets my family the most is how much she controls my sister. She’s being used like a puppet but she doesn’t see it. All her friends say that she has changed, that she doesn’t have the same bubbly personality, but she denies it all.

Now my sister fights with me and my mom everytime. She talks shit about my aunt and cousins. I was able to read some of her whatsapp messages with N (yeah, not a very fair play) and they were planning on moving out to a shithole on another city. My sister thinks she’s a grown up, but she doesn’t even have a job. She’s too immature but N keeps saying that she’s a grown woman and have to make her own decisions and bla bla bla. It’s my parents that pay for her college and French classes. She’s barely a legal adult.

She doesn’t want to see how much harm N has done to our family. All of us tried talking to her to leave her, but she doesn’t listen. They were already talking about marriage!

My mom kicked N out today. It’s been 3 months since she came living with us. In the beginning everything was fine, but now we see how evil N is.

We think that N wants her money. N doesn’t have much money since she came from another state and doesn’t talk to her family, but we have money. Of course, we are not super rich, but now that my sister is 18, she can access in the bank all of the money my parents have been saving our entire lives to pay for our college tuition. My mom doesn’t control the bank account anymore since my sister and I are now adults. We are very worried about that. About how she can so easily manipulate my sister. She’s 10 years older than her and started dating my sister when she was still a minor.

Do you guys have any tips on how to deal with this situation?

TL;DR : My 18 yo sister is being manipulated by her 28 yo girlfriend. My family thinks she wants our money and now they want to move to another city.
