Been dating a woman for almost a year. We get along in most respects but she's incredibly jealous, insecure and mistrustful.
I'm not allowed to have any female friends or even to associate with females in a friendly manner.
I have a long-time hobby and the groups I participate with sometimes have women in them. My gf hates this and is convinced they are just trying to have sex with me or vice versa. I had to end a friendship with a female friend because of this and it tore me up. My gf even had me block them on all social media.
I'm a really honest guy and I've never cheated on a partner before, or even thought about.
Last weekend a woman in her 50s who was parked next to us tried chatting me up with some small talk as we loaded up our cars. The conversation was about 30 seconds long. My gf, who was in the passenger seat, chewed me out when I got in the car and accused me of flirting. With a woman who looks like my mother.
Last night I posted a scenery picture I took on social media and a female acquaintance of mine who I've had on FB as a friend for a decade happened to like it. Around bedtime my gf called me up and acted very passive aggressive. After digging a bit she admitted she was pissed that I was "adding new girls." She then refused to ever like my stuff again because I have "plenty of other girls to follow me." The only option she gave me to recover the situation was to delete all my female contacts from social media.
This is what I deal with constantly and I am stressed the fuck out. After our conversation last night I could barely sleep and now I'm tense and unable to focus on my job.
I don't know what to do to make this woman trust me.
TL;DR - GF is super insecure and won't let me have any female friends or associations. Even liking a pic on FB that happens to have a female in it can lead to a massive fight. Already had to end a good friendship and now I'm expected to delete all female contacts from social media.
